For this development, i wanted to keep it more intricately focused to contrast with the previous development, so i can showcase a range of ideas. For this, I took an image I had taken previously and edited all features except the eyes and eyebrows. After printing this, i intricately cut holes using a scalpel tool, whilst shaping out features of his face. By writing in large letters, “COVERED IN EGO” across the forehead, it makes clear that everything on the face is a representation of vanity and opposing turbulent. I intentionally chose to put no background on this image to present that no matter how a person might prevent, nobody truly will know or ‘see through’ a person's self esteem or ego. This design and intention is incongruous because it shows the opposition between others opinions and reality, this being shown through he strong and assertive looking eyes, as opposed to the inner thoughts being shown on his face, and the holes representing the breaking down of a person once getting down to their core.
